first_img The Blog,  Weekly Update On Tuesday, Governor Wolf presented his 2017-2018 budget address. His 2017-2018 proposed budget offers a new way to tackle Pennsylvania’s $3 billion deficit while continuing to protect schools, seniors, and providing resources to combat the opioid abuse epidemic.With visits to Allentown and Lancaster, Governor Wolf kicked off his statewide tour to discuss the initiatives in his 2017-2018 budget proposal. In Allentown on Wednesday, the governor detailed plans to spur job creation and manufacturing. In Lancaster on Friday, the governor highlighted efforts in his budget to continue the fight against opioid and substance abuse.On Monday, Governor Wolf welcomed members of the Assali family to Allentown.
